Ballooning Talent

My eleven year old has been learning how to make balloon animals. He’s getting good at it. I wouldn’t try it – I’d get too nervous with all that popping.

He was down to his very last balloon and attempted to learn a new design. I think he ran out of balloon before he could finish it, and instead twisted up his own new design:

He named him Julio.

I think Julio is cool-io.

Do you have any unique or unusual talents?

I bet he's happy with all the balloon shapes he can make.
Funny even tho we know there are lots of balloons around, eg. a party, one goes 'bang!', we still jump!

How fun! What a cool talent!

I have a talent for getting on my kids' nerves.

That's fun! Creativity runs in the family!
I used to have a lot of talent in sports, but not anymore! I don't know what else!

I can do easy origami stuff, but I'm with you on the balloons: my nerves could not take this.

And ICQB and I share a talent. I'll bet she has teenagers too...

Very cool! Great photo, too, btw.

Not sure if I have any unusual talents. I guess I am good at Atari Breakout, though. I can do both screens in one turn, even on the setting with no holds and no steering. Just try not to laugh at how old that makes me!

Keats - He is happy (and brave to do all that twisting). He'll be happier when I get around to buying more balloons...

ICQB - Amazing how we all develop that talent right around the time our kids hit the tween years.

Kelly - My talent in sports was scraping both knees when I tripped over the cherry balls.
And I know you are multi-talented :)

Mary - That's me - I like the easy origami. I had the origami-a-day calendar, but I was always forgetting the basic folds...

Ara - Hmm, should I laugh or cry...I remember when Pong came out...

Hi, Shelli - I'll tell him!

Awww -- that's cool! I loved how you added the flower.

I don't think I have any special talents. I'm pretty dull and boring when it comes to stuff like that.

I can play a mean iPod though! ;)

That is way cool! Unique, unusual talent? Does tatting qualify, or how about building cairns?

I always wanted to learn how to make balloon animals - never got around to it, maybe one day.

Awesome! I love the drwan in flower! ;0)

How fun!

Rena - That takes some skills...I have enough trouble working my cell phone :D

Bish - Those are great talents! I'd never have the patience for tatting. Cairns I could get into - in fact I think I need one for my garden.

Kim - Get a balloon kit and some earplugs and you're all set! :)

Christy - A hummingbird should have a flower, right? :)
