Spring Break

The kids are home from school for the next two weeks. Yay! The arrival of spring tempted me to work on my little flower people painting. It's one of the illustrations inspired from some pictures I took in the back yard. The first sketches I made from those photos are here.

And speaking of sketches, my blogging will probably be a little sketchy for the next couple of weeks. We have no big plans for spring break, but we're looking forward to a change in the same ol' routine.

Enjoy your non-structured time with the kids. Mine just finished spring break, it was a great week without a strict schedule! Just family time!
Love your colorful spring picture!!

Oh! What a sweet little picture…
I adore your wee ones…

I like that you added the dandelion puff seeds floating above.
Most people see dandelions as weeds but I think of them as a plant with merit…

Young greens to be eaten, wine to be made, seeds for the tiny gold finches in my yard.
Entertainment for a young child who spends a few minutes blowing the puffed seeded flower and then picks a yellow bouquet for their mother…

I love that painting.

We're on break too, and I'm LOVING the slower life. I'm not getting much done, but it's still nice!
Have fun!
