Anne - I wondered if anyone would make out the snail in that picture. Unfortunately I have too many of those things blending in all over the garden (but I still think they're kinda cute).
hello adrienne, that was so cute. i love snails, i remember when i was little i would touch them to see if they would hide in their shells. but they say their slime is poisonous. so i do not play with them anymore!

Ha! Cool shot!
Ha! Snails are my garden nemesis, but I hate killing them. It's quite a conundrum.
Oh, how funny!
How funny!
I do like snails.
Wow and LOL. Fabulous photo! I'm with the snail, I don't do hot.
Interesting photo! Don't think I've ever seen a snail taking a drink.
I have an unbelievable amount of slugs/snails in my yard. The snails are to cute to kill. :(
Great picture!
Great picture. Adorable commentary!
Kelly - I thought a snail was an easy subject, but this guy was pretty quick!
MG - Same here. I occasionally toss one (gently) over the wall. Only when they chow down on one of my favorite plants.
ICQB - From the looks of my herb garden, he'd worked up quite a thirst. :)
Green Girl - Me too! They are charming to watch.
Bish - I've worked up a tolerance to hot stuff over the years - too much great Mexican food available here. :)
Ara - It didn't actually drink from the spout, but he seemed to be trying awfully hard!
Kim - I agree. I pretty much leave all the critters alone, which is one reason my garden is far from perfect.
Rena - Thanks!
Suzanne - Thanks! Some photos beg for captions.
Poor little snail. :(
Sharon - He doesn't seem too unhappy; I see him hanging out by the fountain every morning. :)
Great photo - without your header, I'm not at all sure I would have known that was a snail!

Ocean Girl - I didn't know that. I remember studying them in science class in junior high - no warnings about their slime!
That snail needs to come to Scotland. Not much spicy food here, and there's never any shortage of water.
Mary - I'd happily come along with him (but I'm bringing my peppers)!
