Wishing and Wondering

We're just a couple of weeks into the new school year, and we're already sharing our first case of the sniffles. Rather than try to think of something to write, I decided I'd post an illustration.

Looking at this painting again made me think that I wish my head didn't feel as though it were full of sawdust, and I wonder if fudgesicles would really be such a bad idea for dinner.

I wish the new season of LOST were starting sooner, and I wonder if we'll be seeing more of Desmond this year...

I wish I could get to the hair salon more often, and I wonder if the trim I gave myself is really as crooked as I think it is. Maybe if I tilt my head, no one will notice.

What do you wish? What do you wonder?

Hope you feel better soon...

I wish I were done with my revision. And I wonder if there's a magical agent out there who doesn't care if it's not perfect. (Ha.)

LOVE the picture.

Brenda - So sorry your job is getting you down!! I'll make a wish for you to get some relief...hope the stress lets up.

MG - I wonder that same thing! If you find one, tell the rest of us...

Feel better, Adrienne!
I wish for a healthy school year for my kids! There's already strep and stomach flu going around! (not in this house yet, but it's just a matter of time)
And there are so many more wishes...but I can only pray and/or do my best to help them come true!

I wonder what the next thing is that I will encounter that will really impress me.

Ugh, here's to high pollen counts on the decline!
I bet no one notices your hair--you probably move constantly so how could they tell?

Sometimes I announce that it's 'Get Your Own Dinner Night'. I think fudgesicles have been the dinner of choice for some on such nights.

I wish I could trim the hedges without having to take a shower afterward, and I wonder what the neighbors would say if I just stopped trimming my hedges?

Kelly - It doesn't take long, does it? My son just told me there's a case of chicken pox at school...
Here's hoping you keep the bugs away as long as possible!

Lily - I like that one! But wait, it wasn't my amazing blog...? ;)

Kim - Thanks for the tips! Might not hurt to stock up on Vitamin C, too...

Green Girl - Good point. I've never been an every hair in place kind of person, anyway. :)

ICQB - If you let the hedges get tall enough, at least you won't notice the neighbors complaining.

I love your illustration.
Right now I wish I had a kitchen fairy who loved to do dishes. And straighten up. And cook too. (While I'm wishing I might as well go for it!)
Hope you feel better soon!

I wonder why I didn't leave my "real" job about ten years before I did. I wish I could meet all of my online friends in person because the ones I have met are spectacular.

Thanks for making me wonder and wish.

I wish we weren't so reliant on plastic. And I wonder why we are.

Hope you all feel better SOON.

I stopped by here yesterday and read this, I realized I don’t
have a wish; I am not wondering…I have been on a non stop worrying campaign.
So today I am not going to STOP, I am going to dream, I am going to wish, I am going to wonder.
I use to be very good at that…

I will report back later…

Becky - I wish that, too - especially since we added the dishwasher to the list of things that broke down this summer.

Sliding... - That's a fun wish! I haven't met any online friends, but I'm sure they are delightful.

Bish - It would be nice to see some changes there.

Louise - It's tough to break those cycles...I hope you'll treat yourself to something FUN while you're at it.

I wish it's December already! Then I'd be in UK, Portugal and Holland for a holiday. Yippee! Still I have to wait, patiently.

I wish I had more hours in the day....

and I wonder what tomorrow will bring......

(And I TOO can't wait for LOST.)

Keats - No wonder you can't wait! I wish you happy travels.

Vodka Mom - More hours would be great. I'd use some of them to try to figure out what's going on in LOST.

I think I'd wish I didn't have to work so I guess that would be for more time.

Pretty boring wish...
