I noticed I get a lot of traffic to my blog, particularly in the springtime, for a recipe I posted years ago for Marzipan Easter Eggs. Since it seems to be a popular one, I decided to illustrate it for They Draw and Cook. It turned out to be as much fun drawing and coloring the eggs as it is to roll and shape them out of edible clay!
Click on the following link to see the entire illustrated marzipan recipe.
My original blog post, with photos of the finished confections, can be seen here.
If you have any special Easter or springtime traditions, I'd love to here about them!

Beautiful!
Thanks, Kelly!
I remember that first post! Love your illustrated recipe.
Sooo cute! I love these illstrated recipes!
I love marzipan anything. I have to pass this recipe on to my expert bakers so they can make these.
My spring ritual is planting seeds for my summer garden. Every year I say I'm not doing it, too much work, not enough time. Every year I do it anyway.
Okay, seriously? YUM!!!! I shouldn't know about this--we have enough sugar in our house as it is, but I have a feeling I'm now going to need to make these for Easter. Great job with the illustrations, Adrienne! They look as beautiful as the recipe sounds yummy. : )_
Those eggs are awesome. Love the illustration, too.
And thanks for the flashback of Rootin' Tootin' Raspberry! I blogged about Funny Face today.
I can almost smell the marzipan from here....
We usually get marzipan at Christmas.
We had a spring tradition of buying and planting flowers on Mother's Day, but it is too cold here at that time.
Oh, so lovely, both the eggs and the illustrated recipe! Yum!
And how the heck have I missed it...? I love marzipan.
