Oh, I love the drawing, Adrienne! I'm partial to candy corn, but don't like Brachs. Any other brand will do but that one. My kids usually give me anything with coconut or almonds in it, which is fine with me.
And I'm trying not to think of my favorite Halloween treat. I lost several pounds over the summer and I'm trying to keep it off : )
But I did go to a chocolate tasting at my library the other night. Yum. And we each got a 'reverese' trick or treat bag to take home, filled with 10 informational cards about fair-trade chocolate and with a little fair-trade chocolate bar attached to each of them.
Your children are supposed to give them to the people who give them candy and say something like, "Thank you, and here's some fair-trade chocolate for you and information about how you can help end child slavery on cocoa farms."
My daughter is going around on Halloween with a friend who is taking her baby on her first trick-or-treat. She'll give the cards out then.
Pseudo, MG, and Brenda - Dark chocolate Reese's exist and they should come with a warning! It's very hard to quit once you discover them...
Rena - I could have used your candy corn expertise years ago - I only learned when my daughter was allergic to egg that not all candy corn is the same! We had to read all the labels.
Bish - I hunt for the chocolate, but I still love those Mary Janes, too!
Louise - Milky Way Midnights are my other favorite. Everything should come in dark chocolate. :)
Ocean Girl - I'm looking forward to seeing little ones like that at my door (hopefully not looking too stunned)...
ICQB - Thanks for the reminder to stay informed...although I’m not sure about handing over a leaflet if someone’s already in the doorway with a big bowl of Brand X chocolates.
PJ - I'm happy if you think my artwork is in the same league as chocolate. :)
Green Girl - Ooh, Dots. I feel them sticking to my teeth already...
Reese's? Did someone say Reese's? Along with real Mexican food, sweet potato pie, turkey, and cranberry sauce, that is one of the available-in-America foodstuffs I'd give my eyeteeth for.
I LOVE this drawing! It totally captures the trick-or-treat experience.
My favorites? Snickers and Reeses, Yum!
I also like non-chocolates, like Twizzlers and Dots.
But my favorite Halloween treat is the orange marshmallow pumpkins covered in chocolate. They haven't had them here for a couple of years, but my mom is really nice and sends me one or two every year :)

Your artwork! But a close second is anything chocolate :)
That is a cute, cute drawing. Dark chocolate Reese's? I didn't know they existed! Yes, I'll definitely take one of those.
Did you draw that? IT IS SO CUTE!!! I'd totally buy a pack of cards with that illustration.
And I'll steal all the Dots out of my kids' candy bags.
Love the drawing!

Sooo cute!
I love Reese Peanut Butter cups the best!
Reese's is my fav 2 but I also like Butterfinger, MnMs, 3 Musketeers, 100 Grand, heck I could go on and on - just look at me :(
I love your drawing.
My favorite? Reese's or Butterfingers. Or peanut M&M's.
Yum.
Great drawing!
I love the sour stuff, so I'll be angling for the Shock Tarts and Sour Skittles.

That is the cutest drawing EVER! I love it.
I love nerds. The candy and the dudes.
Adrienne,
I love this sketch! And the bats hanging from the tree...cute! :)
Reese's seem to be in the lead - I didn't know they were that popular :)
Mary - If you can get peanut butter, confectioner's sugar, and chocolate, you can make a mock version! Here's one recipe:
