These are pictures I took years ago of baby rats that belonged to a friend of mine.
You might have to search a little to spot them.
Since rats have received a bit of a bad rap, my friend and I thought it would be fun to photograph them among pretty things like baubles and lace...

It's like Where's Waldo. Very tricky.
Still I have to admit that rats give me the willies. Maybe if they were wearing the dressings and pearls...maybe then I could break free from my rat prejudice.
Sam - It's true, the wild ones don't exactly look like something right out of Beatrix Potter!
Great pictures, Adrienne, and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's post.
Loved the rats amoung the baubles!
Great pics...The baubles and lace really gives them a whole different look...they don't seem so "yucky"...
I had a resident who had pet rats for her two little daughters...the rat's names were Ebony and Ivory...one was solid black and the other solid white...grin...
Oh! You made them look so cute! My son used to have a couple of pet rats, but now all we have are the nasty sort that run around on the fence and then eat our car wiring. I like yours much better! : )
Rena - They were fun to play with. Somewhere there are pictures of me holding them, but I don't think I have any copies...
Lilfix - Ebony and Ivory - great names! My grandfather had one black and one white cat...their names were Blackie and Whitey. Not as original. :)
Ara - We have that variety, too. I gave up having a birdfeeder because they always become rat feeders. Oh, well, a rat's gotta eat, too.
One of my old roommates had pet rats, Suzie and Amy. They were very sweet girls. ; )
Suzanne - Those are some interesting name choices!
I Love this....
Louise
